FAQ's:
Submissions are accepted with the understanding that the Submission Release Agreement (below) is agreed to by the writer/s submitting the Material.
Turn around is 7-10 days.
Overnight is $75 on top of any service. Overnight MUST BE APPROVED FIRST by D.Girl and is dependent upon availability.
Scripts over 120 pages are one dollar/per page extra.
Service fees are non-refundable.
D.Girl strongly recommends registering your material either with the WGA or the Library of Congress before sending it out.
How To:
1. Please send submissions here.
Screenplay submissions can be sent via email attachment in Final Draft, Adobe, PDF, or Word.
If writer wishes to send a hard copy, arrangements can be made.
2. Please select which service/s you wish to use, and checkout with Google Checkout, or, with prior arrangement, by check.
3. By Submitting Material to Development Girl, you are agreeing to the following:
Submission Release Agreement
1. I understand that Development Girl (Consultant) will not read or analyze any work unless I agree to the terms of this Submission Release Agreement.
2. I hereby grant the Consultant the right to read and evaluate the submitted screenplay, novel, or treatment (Material).
3. I understand that receipt of payment for the evaluation of this Material to the Consultant constitutes an agreement to the terms contained herein.
4. I hereby state that the Material was created and is owned free and clear of all other interests only by me; and I have full right to submit the Material to the Consultant and to comply with this Agreement.
5. I understand and agree that, because of the Consultant's position in the entertainment industry, she may receive many stories, ideas, concepts and other literary materials. I also understand that many stories, ideas, and concepts are similar or identical, and that different stories, ideas, and concepts frequently relate to one or more common underlying themes and may closely resemble other works.
6. I understand and agree that I will not be entitled to any compensation or other consideration because of the use of such similar or identical material, stories, ideas, and/or concepts that may have come to the Consultant. I hereby release the Consultant from any and all claims, liabilities and demands that may be made by me asserting that the Consultant have used or appropriated the Material, or any portion thereof.
6. I also attest that no confidential relationship is established by submitting the Material to the Consultant. I understand that the Consultant is under no obligation other than to provide analysis of the Material.
7. I acknowledge that the Consultant recommends that the Material be registered with the Writer's Guild of America and/or registered for copyright with the United States Copyright Office prior to submitting the Material, and I release the Consultant from any claims arising from failing to provide such protections for the Material.
8. I understand that the Consultant's evaluation is subjective and may not be complimentary, positive or in agreement with my own opinion of the Material.
9. I understand that the evaluation fee is non-refundable.
10. I understand that the Consultant may retain or destroy the Material at her discretion and I acknowledge that I possess additional copies of same.
